He knew I was on the Port Albany and typed in my name and "hey presto" contact! Once again the magic of your wonderful site has conjured up a new pal. We are old Vindi boys and charted a similar course during our time at sea starting with the old Cunard cargo carrier 'Andria' out of KG5. They found my details on your web site. 1st was Tom Coyne Chief Steward from South Shields now retired. He and I sailed on the Corato for 18 months. 2nd was Robert Murdoch from New Zealand(originally from Glasgow). He was at marine radio college with me when I was 16 and he 17.!!.
Another was a junior engineer also from Glasgow who sailed with me on the Naess Scotsman.
Another was an old college friend who lives about five minutes up the route from me also retired.
All these guys got my e-mail address from your web site.

I thought I’d just give you an update and add further to your ‘Some Successes’ page.
I have met up with Paul Burke off the Kiwi Coast when we sailed together on the Ngakuta in 1972.
Well after e-mailing each other for nearly 18 months, he and his wife came over from Brisbane to stay with my
my wife and I in Blackpool just before Xmas (2005) and a good time was had by one and all. That lamp was
well and truly ‘swung’ by both of us and Paul and his wife have now invited us over to stay with them, of which
we hope to do so in aprox 1 years time. Barry Price. Geoff Kelly is now in contact with Neil Watkins his old boss when he was a galley boy on the Strathewe P+O ship.

Ollie Fenlon I've been searching for the last couple of years for John Paul who wrote some paragraphs under a picture of a ship built on Tyneside where he spoke of an eventful trip on her.
