Re: Ss ocean freedon
Have just spoken with David Denholm and he confirms that the Ocean Freedom is the same design as her sister ship the Ocean Strength which was built by Todd -Bath in Portland main . Both ships were managed by J&J DEHOLM the Ocean Strength survived the war and because there was no lose of life on the Freedom the records were no kept . The main difference between deign of liberty boats was Ocean class had 2 hatches in front of the bridge and a hatch between the bridge and the funnel the others had 3 hatches in front of the bridge . Thanks guys for your help and if you are ever in Wolverhampton come and visit the TTHC .Only open SATURDAY and SUNDAY 10am to 4pm .
