Like most stories fed to us, there is more to this than we are being told, he has committed some other offence, which is probably being kept under wraps, kt

In my humble opinion, his use of the vehicle dedicated to the Ships Company, was out of order there are another 699+ crew on the ship, and him hogging use of it was not good, pure greed

Yes it was a selfish act on his part Bill but can't see that doing that alone would warrant such a
high ranking officer to be busted, now if he'd taken Big Lizzy out for a weekends fishing
,, can't
believe there's not something bigger behind it, "Talk about using a sledge hammer to crack a nut"

Politics, politics all is political in such services.
Some one has their nose out of joint over this and are taking it out on him.
But the other 699 could have taken turns driving it along the take off deck>

Re: Skipper of Big Lizzie
When the commanding officer of Britain’s most powerful aircraft carrier was ignominiously “reassigned” over accusations he misused an official car, sources said he had been publicly shamed.
In the wake of the allegations the Royal Navy announced that Commodore Nick Cooke-Priest, Commanding Officer of HMS Queen Elizabeth, had been “reassigned to a new role”.
However, The Telegraph understands the 50-year-old commodore remains at the helm and will take the £3 billion ship back to her home port on the south coast on Tuesday. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...rrier-captain/

It's amazing ! An RN Captain has allegedly used a car at the weekend for his own purposes, gets the sack. A Politician claims thousands on his / her expense account, keeps their job. Tells you a lot about the state of the UK.

Probably cos they had no one to take over, they had to re enlist retirees and redundant guys to help sail it out of the dock in the first place.

Mate, here in Oz such events are almost a national pastime with our polis.
Got to the point where it was a case of, 'I can get more out of it than you can'.
The opposition here were so confident of winning the election they had a big pre election night dinner, no expense spared and all paid for by the tax payer.
But next day they lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
