Re: Itma dominic michael stringer - a comprehensive update
Hi again,
Delamar was the ship immediately preceding Wellandoc. According to verbal history, Dad arrived in Trinidad (date unknown) and did not want to go back to dep sea going boats because he "had been torpedoed 3 times". A guy called Ken Simpson managed to sign him on with US coast guard. Delamar had been damaged and went to Barbados late in 1942. There Dad met and married Mike's Mum.
Yesterday, for the first time it would appear that Dad's CRS10 is now available at TNA and so I have applied for a copy. Hopefully, within 6 weeks I should have a full copy of his CRS10.
As money allows, I want to get crew lists and relevant parts of log books for all Dad's ships

Hi Doc,
I have not come across that website before. Thank you. I might have to do more digging first though as it was about the time he joined Delamar that he changed his name. Probably best to be as aaccurate as possible in my requst!

TNA are saying they do not have his CRS 10 "sigh". Now need to think outside the box - again!

On the upside, the log of the Empire Bairn has finally resurfaced after some 40 years of searching. something to do next month when the children's weddings are finally over.
