Holiday AWOL
I think most of you already know.
My daughter Sara and I leave for Cuba on Friday 13th - 28th.
My sister and niece from Spain will be joing us there.
40 years ago, me with three woman would have been fun.
As long as they were not my relatives of course.
Last visit to Cuba was on my 24th Birthday.
Vague recollections of that day.
I decided to take on three seamen in a bar.
Ended up with a broken nose, Black eye and a torn shirt. [think I lost!]
Also got a logging.
Don't think I will get logged this trip, and hope my fighting days are over. Unless there is some geriatric that in worse shape than me! ha ha.
Anyway, I'm sure the authorities have forgotten about me by now.
If not I could be home again by December 14th
Not sure how the wi fi is down there, so please hold all emails until I return.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Take care.
Den.

Re: Holiday AWOL
Dennis have a good trip, was last down there pre Castro days, let us have a review of your thoughts when you return from your holiday, as I think most of us who visited Cuba in that era have romantic thoughts about returning, all I would ask if you meet any Cuban ladies speaking with a Yorkshire Pudding accent, don't tell them where I am, I have enough daughters

Re: Holiday AWOL
Ivan speaks Spanish the same as us all probably, can get around anywhere in the Indies and South America with 3 questions. Quonto Costa Para Nacha, Quanto Costa Cerveza, and Quanto Costa Cuba Libre. The answers could be translated by finger signs. Also Capitano passo de Plato manana for those optimistic ones. John Sabourn
