BP Tankerman song
All you ex. and serving B.P. guys,
elsewhere on this site some one has posted the Shell song (thread "Shanghied by Joe Shell".
Now I know B.P. had their own song starting off something like,
"Just got back from Abadan"
So come on guys can you finish it all off.
Sailed with a number of ex B.P. guys and after a few beers we often heard all the verses.

Never did know all the words,Though ,the Tune was Music Music Music. Sung by Alma Cogan.
Went like this "I.m A British Tanker Man , just come back from Abadan , All I, want is Shafting(Loving) You ,and Music Music Music" etc,-??
Could be something like, "I'll go up the Gulf again ,work overtime and save. More days more dollars B.T.C. Mena to Wallsend will do
or even in to to Heysham. Put the insurance wire out. Be on the Train a litlle late. but Hennie, Dinna Fret!We'll Dance the Neet away, To Music ,Music Music.
With apologies to Alma Cogan.
In the intersts of accuracy. Again it could have been her Australian ,singer actress friend that recorded . the said Song.Name escapes me!

Or the Sulzer song , usually sung on the evening before pay off ;
Good bye ( name of ship ) ,
Good bye chieffy too,
Ever since we've been on here we've been f***ked around by you,
Your generators are a failure , your compressors are a farce ,
And as far as your Sulzer engine goes you can stick it up your a**e .
