Young Jim
Good Morning Lads and Lasses,
Thank you for all your lovely posts on here to Young Jim's Family.
When I am talking to his Son Keith; who used to go to Towe Hill each year with him;
I will pass on your condolences to Jim's wife Marlene and the rest of the Family.
I wonder if he will visit Pitcairn Island on his travels? We had some good banter of him hiding from Me under a Big rock there, Happy Days!
Thank you again .
I hope you all enjoy a Merry Christmas and A Guid New Year.
Fondest Love and God Bless You All.
Jeanxx

Young Jim
Dear Jenny and Jean,
Please be aware that I am saddened and shocked to learn of Young Jim's passing and would ask you both to accept my sincere condolences for your loss of a good and dear friend. Apart from one or two amicable exchanges I had little direct contact with Jim and never really got to know him. I did, of course, read many of his posts on this site and although I sometimes found I held a different view to him and as a result of that, posted accordingly, I sensed that, when not upset, he was a decent and kindly man. No matter what, as John (Happy Daze) reminds us, Young Jim was one of us, a brother, whose passing is surely regarded with sadness and respect by us all.
Jean, if you are able to, please extend my deepest sympathy to Jim's wife and family at this sad time.
...............Roger

Always sad when one of our own departs to join that great crew sailing on the other side. Especially poignant considering the time of year and circumstances. RIP Young Jim and sincere condolences to all who knew him.

Take care all of you and be good to one another as we only get one chance,
May I take this oportunity to wish you all A Healthy and Happy 2012.

young Jim
I am so pleased that you have made contact with Jim's family Jean, thanks so much for the information.
I am still coming to grips with it and have been drowning my sorrows over the last few days. I raised my glass of Appletons (cant get 4 bells ) to him and am feeling so sorry for myself. It is quite some time since I had a 'tipple' and it doesnt sit well I can tell you. There was so much I wanted to write at the time, to tell him things I had forgotten to say while he was here...never leave it till it is too late.
I was waiting to win the lotto and the joke was , we were going to do some 'grass flattening'...in our dreams Jim lad. There is just one thing I want to say and then be barred for life...********..HAAAAA, there my darling....got it in

Dear Jenny,
Having recently lost an old and true friend, your expression of loss and sadness in post #19 resonates with me and I think I know a little of the 'emptiness' you are feeling at the present time.
Unless I have badly misjudged the character of Brian ( site Administrator) I think it unlikely that the sentiment and humour contained in the last sentence of your post could possibly result in your expulsion from this site. Young Jim would have certainly appreciated the poignant wit in your choice of words and 'asterisks'..........I know I did, as, I'm sure, will others. Cheer up, lass.
.............Roger.
