I have been overwhelmed by the number of requests for new passwords
It is going to take a while as each one has to be dealt with and replied to individually but I am working on them and will get back to you as soon as I am able.

HoulderLine.gifIt was sadly reported today, on the StS site, that Mr John Houlder passed away on 2nd February. He was just a few days short of his 95th birthday. Knowing that we have many members that have at one time or another sailed on a Houlder's ship, I have just sent an email to his son Micheal offering our sincere condolences at this sad time. RIP John Houlder

This just received from Michael Houlder:
Dear Tony, thank you so much for your condolences.
My father had spent the last month or so in hospital with pneumonia and its complications.
He had become very weak. So his death the day before yesterday was not unexpected. But it still hits home very hard.
During the last six months in the main he showed a general cheerfulness even if somewhat mistaken in his surroundings.
Yes, he was a giant who strode across my universe and, as you say, affected the lives of many.
I had always hoped, though well beyond my capacity, that Houlder Bros would someday be revived.
Thank you again and I shall certainly pass on your sentiments to the rest of my family.
My best wishes
Michael Houlder
