April 22nd 2012 he saw his final day. He died at home (as he'd wanted to) with some friends and family around. He was 91-- a pretty long life to be sane, physically functional, and have most of your marbles. A few days before he went my husband asked him if he'd like anything (to drink or eat that is), his response was 'another life'. I think when we're dying and not in pain, we'd all like that.....
