Nothing's permanent.
Quite recently completed a eight day Cruise on the Sun Princess.P&O.
(incredible value for money).Don;t know if because She's changing to new Owners.Whatever! ! We
and about 1200 others were the beneficiaries.
Reason for writing this is over the years ,on Site, have read many comments RE. these Floating 'Block of Flats"
No one less, than myself .Had that belief.
Having worked on or sailed as passagiero. on many Liners . Must say this one was the most impressive.
Two, small incidents ,that's all to criticise. One very obnoxious East European ,on Duty on a Stairway ,just after Boarding..Recognised him days later as a member of the Casino Staff..The other most unpleasant one ,declared himself ".Chief Barman"(Thick as two short Planks) Full of piss and importance.!
Was intrigued by the Shop assistants , Now wear T.shirts .RETAIL THERAPISTS. New one on me!

On The recent world cruise on the QUEEN ELIZABETH the Eastern European Catering Staff were pig ignorant, lazy and arrogant.
They had no sense of hygene, sneezing right over the food. the dirty b4st4rds, The sooner Cunard get rid of them the better.
It has turned me off Cunard.
Cheers
Brian.

Thanks for that Brian, we have done a number of cruises and found a distinct detioration in the performance of the catering staff. I have just read out your comments to my wife and her response was....lets try river cruising!!!! You have achieved something in 2 minutes that I have been trying to do for the past 3 months.
Much appreciated, thanks again, regards Russ.

Could that be the same P&O Sun Princess we had down here in Oz? Very small compared to the latest but very old and not very well equiped. She did a number of 'music 7 comedy' cruises from Sydney. Friend of mine w ent on one and said it was the worst he had ever seen. But in generl P&O do not have a very good name in Oz, they prefer to cater for the younger crowd who are more interested in the bar rather than good food and entertainment.

Happy daze John in Oz.
