From January to June 1976 I was attending courses then standing by the fitting out of the City of Winchester at Bremer Vulkan at Vegasak.
Whilst standing by the fitting out of the City of Winchester I was at the launch of the City of York and attended the before and after launch dinners/functions.

Hi Bill
Do you know of any other ex Ellerman guys, I was an engineer with them in the 60's and my first ship was the City of Winchester ( the old one). Would be nice to catch up with anyone as I now live in NZ coming back to the old country for a holidy next year.

city boat mishap Durban
Hi Mattmg from Jafaland. I've asked before around this site but without luck. I was wondering if you know of a city boat that rode up on the wharf in Durban around 1964 . Nigh on killed me and I didn't catch it's name. Regards Ronnie . Auckland. (North shore jafa)

Ex City of Brisbane, 1961
was on the City of Brisbane for 3 weeks at the beginning of the year, didnt take to it so moved over to P&O lines

I think you will find it a hard task to get a Colour Picture of that Ship,but here is a nice Pianting of her in Sydney! Hope this may assist!

Ex ellermans man Ian bailey has a huge collection of Ellerman Pics. He is on a similar site called shipsnostalgia.com going under the name of Bailey Bloke. He has helped out dozens of folk so far.
