The Pool

"During one voyage on the Normandie, my Mother [Marlene Dietrich] was poured into a masterpiece of plated crepe de chine and masses of assembled emeralds," remembered Maria Riva. "Together, we swept into the Grand Salon, a small Versailles, done in Aubusson and Lalique fountains. The men, in white tie and tails, all looked like Cary Grant and William Powell. The women strolled in willowy creations by the best French designers."
Attached the ship's lighted, tiled indoor pool.
