Hellas Liberty and the Little Liners

Rather recently, the US Government gave a mothballed Liberty ship destined for the scrapheap to Greece. Shipowners wanted it as a keepsake & great nautical reminder of the many surplus American ships given to the Greeks following the devastating years of the Second World War. The 7,000-ton vessel, dating from 1944, has been fully restored as a museum in Piraeus harbour.

    Little Liners
They are fascinating little ships, in ways like little liners ... and they seem to dart about in high speed & in every which direction.
