Re: Winter storms
stan, you are just not used to a bit of cold, come a little further west and try it here in winnipeg, for the last few weeks (since Nov.11 ) the warmest day is today where the temp, reached -22, it felt like summer after the -30 to -50 weather we have had, it is expected to drop again tonight to -31 and highs over the next week around -27 plus windchill. roll on May and the summer.

Re: Winter storms
Temperatures you guys are living in is a definite no no. I would seriously be looking to relocate to warmer climbs. We complain over here West Coast Scotland - tonight 6 degrees C. Thinking about moving to either Florida or the Canaries. The only thing that puts us off the States is the medical insurance.

Re: Winter storms
stan and john, out here in the west when it is cold and blowing snow nothing stops, we just accept it as another day, I have been out here 40 years now and during the winters have even been out camping and horse riding ( golf is a bit hard, the white balls are difficult to see in the snow). also there is skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and even going out in the woods and cutting down your own christmas tree, if we want the heat we fly down to the carribean for a couple of weeks, but in most cases the people who live here for some reason or other don`t seem to want to leave here. it has warmed right up here at the moment -14c with winchill -27c. I come from Dover where i found it always cold and damp, here the snow is so fine that if you make a snowball and throw it in the air, it will fall apart and drift down like snowflakes, there is very little moisture in our snow until the sun shines on it.
its an amazing place Canada.
