Syd young
Just had a card from Syds wife who has said that Syd has recently had a Massive heart attack.
He is at present in Winchester Hospital and is slowly improving.
She hopes he will be home for Christmas.

I have met Syd a few times at the meet-ups he was at the last Liverpool one his good lady was with him she did the shops and came into the Pen& Wig just before going home..A very nice chap I hope he has a speedy recovery.

That is not good news at all Mike
Yes i too met up with Syd and his dear Wife when on my Holiday and the trip down to Southampton.
We had Colin (sadly passed on now) Syd and his Wife, George,and (Alf also sadly now gone !)
A great bunch of Lads and we all had a terrific time together.
Please if you can pass my message on to Syd,and tell him i am thinking of him at this time.
I do hope he will recover in full,these days they can do some great things on the Heart problems.
After my Attack nearly 19 Years ago now,i am thank the good Lord still going!
