logging in .logging out
Out of habit or practise I have always tended to log out of a website when business or whatever is complete, But is it necessary perhaps from a security point of view ? Today I forgot to log out and so convenient when returning!

Re: logging in .logging out
I do the same Mike but for different reasons ,the main one is getting back on again as the server has a habit of disappearing . I usually look in at various times to make sure he’s still there and to see if anyone I know has joined site or has passed away before me. Jim Egan an old shipmate and friend haven’t seen for years so assume he has reached the end of his term.He was one of the mates with me in the North Sea and kept in contact through this site over the years. Cheers JS

Re: logging in .logging out
Its good to stay Logged in on the site for ease of access when you Open your Browser, however there is the risk like any other site you may be visiting that information can be taken ? I dont know how its done , but do know that it can be !
The best way to stay Logged in and stay Safe is firstly to make sure that you have a good Computer Password (That is one must first Enter a Password to access the Computer)
Having that in Place gives you extra Security.
Secondly always have a good Anti Virus and Security Installed at all times.
And Thirdly have a good VPN working for you while Browsing the Internet!
A VPN is a really good thing as it doesnt give your Position away.
The above Steps are Vital to keep yourself safe online.

Re: logging in .logging out
Hi Pete.
Doesn't realy stop a stuff up these days, for some reason I lost nearly 30 years of posts and various other things when my log in stuffed up, I am now a newbie but my old stuff is still on site if I want to check it, not the sites fault some glitch in my Comp.
