Dominic we wish you luck in trying to include the MN, but can you make sure that the prospective employers are aware that the Merchant Navy is indeed a service and vital to this country's existence, as I and others have found in the past we MN are not recognised as serving our country in peace and war and refused entry to the British Legion and other organisations; and sad to say most people, including prospective employers have no idea what the MN is. Some even think that our Red Ensign is the Communist Party flag because it is mostly red.
Regards
Ivan

Ivan,
Thank you for posting your comment, I would like to reassure you every employer that I speak to are aware our events are very much open to serving and former Merchant Navy personnel, plus our other web based services, including the BFRS Virtual Career Fair, which can be found here... http://bfrs.omnivilexhibitions.com/entrance.aspx
Whenever I am advising people of whom we are and what we offer, I always include the MN as people we want to reach, due to the service they give our country. I will keep pushing the word out there and look forward to meeting some of you at our future events......
Best regards, Dominic
