    Default HOW CONVINIENT

In the news this morning here in Oz. The Sago Sagitarius, a coal carrier docked in Woolongong and was boarded by Australian federal police.
The ship is reportedly owned by the Nipon Shipping company of Japan, but flying a flag of convinience, carrying coal from Oz to China.
Two weeks ago whilst in the Timor sea a crew member, Philipino, dissapeared over the side. According to reports he had been complaining to the ship's captain about conditiond and food.
Then the day before docking another crew member died of cardiac arrest.
A spokesman for the police said that in all his years of inspecting ships he had never seen any ship under a flag of convinience in such a poor condition. Crew quarters, food and general conditions are the worst ever seen on such a ship. He also commented that it was most unusual for two crew members to die in such a short space of time.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

This is the results of those of you that want to reduce wages and conditions and there will be more to come. Pity there is not a strong union around anymore demanding that further investigation is carried out as this is not a one of incident here in Oz is it and is also happening on land as well. But at least the big firms are being allowed to make huge profits to pay their CEO's huge salary's like has been professed on this site.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.
