Liverpool Sailors' Gateway
I stumbled upon this whilst in Liverpool. Of course, Terry will know it well, but I think it's quite beautiful and thought some would find of interest.

Re: Liverpool Sailors' Gateway
They were the gates of the old Sailors Home where I used to stay, for four shillings a night, bed and breakfast, in the 50s. When the Home was demolished, [ it was a crime, should have been preserved,k ] the gates ended up in a factyory around Birmingham and only recently recovered and refurbished and installed in Paradise Street where the Sailors Home was.
I put a Video on last week showing it being unveiled, and our John Gill talking in the introduction
Maybe vernon could find it again.if I cant.
Cheers
Brian

Re: Liverpool Sailors' Gateway
Hi Lou,
Actually, we stayed at the Premier Inn at the Albert Dock and we did see the Three Graces, as well as the Maritime Museum. It is beautiful there and we had a lovely visit. Met a couple of scousers I could barely understand. Here's a pic of me by the Mersey...

Hi Jaycin
Thanks for posting that picture of the Liverpool Sailors Gateway, I vaguely remember it on one trip there but haven't seen that before must have missed it on here.
I'm still trying to recall an actress from TV who is the image of you, I'll let you know if I remember her.
Cheers Des
