I have been overwhelmed by the number of requests for new passwords
It is going to take a while as each one has to be dealt with and replied to individually but I am working on them and will get back to you as soon as I am able.
Brian.
Thank you for your patience, I am getting there.

Just had to renew my passport.
£81 for check and send
What a rip off just to have the same document as loads of foreigners and illegals.

---------- Post added at 02:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:52 PM ----------
I have just applied for one for HER did it on the tinternet, it was £72 and printed out the forms,
This morning we went to the GPO to get the photos.
It cost £5 for four, you only need two, when they came out the lady at the PO said it is faulty not taking photos correctly, Me , Do we get our £5 back , No , you will have to phone this number, gave us a telephone number, the machine does not belong to the GPO,
So we have lost a Fiver, no photos, we are going to have to find somewhere else to try.
That is why I am thinking of going to the mo sk.
Cheers
Brian

Re: Passports
Hi Brian, Try your local Morrison's or Tesco's and use their photo kiosks, they work for me. F.

Re: Passports
rts here in Oz now cost around $240, but if you are a senior you can get on for half price. One slight problem there, they are only half the pages and only last for 5 years rather than the 10 for others.

Re: Passports
Just a slight correction John
The Senior Passport is only for the over 75 Y/Olds and as you say has only a 5 year life! $122
However you can get one for $183 that has more pages as well! (For Frequent travelling)
Am I correct on this??? Cheers

It sounds as if the rules have been changed, the information I posted was as it was 5 years ago when we got our last ones. New gov, new rules?

Re: Passports
In the UK, passports are free (and valid for 10 years) if you were born before 2 September, 1929.
If you recently paid for a passport, you can apply for a refund of the standard passport fee if you qualify for a free passport and paid for one after 19 May 2004.

At 85 I doubt some would get much use out of it anyway. Don't you just love the govs who come up with such wonderful ideas?
