Queen Elizabeth Envelopes
I was looking through some things in my loft and came across these 3 envelopes. I had used 2 of them to write to my girlfriend at the time but the other one is unused. Would they be of use to any collectors of Queen Elizabeth memorabilia?IMG_0886.jpg

Re: Queen Elizabeth Envelopes
The one of 'Final Voyage' will be a collectors item and would respectfully suggest you put it in a 'Marine Artefacts' auction, I notice you are in Devon; Exeter has two such auctions per annum

I have a lot of Cunard Memorabilia. I want to sell I am in my 80s now and the lads don't want any so it would all get binned.
I could do with a good auction room.

Don't put it in any auction Brian, pick a 'Maritime Artefacts' one, they are bound to have two or three a year in Liverpool, or even contact Southampton, home of the Queens, you could do the same Geoff, maybe a better option than Exeter.
However if you are conversant with Ebay, then contact American sites, as they will bite your hand off and you wont have to pay auctioneer's commission currently 17.5% to 20% plus VAT on the commission

Re: Queen Elizabeth Envelopes
I have 7 Framed prints of pictures of Cunard from Lusitania signed by a Survivor of her sinking, Two Titanics, signed by two Survivors.
Two QE2s signed by three Captains and one of the original QE2 signed by Commodore WE Warwick the very first Master, and Commodore RW Warwick, his son, The only time a father and son has Captained the Liners of Cunard. Also a framed print of Queen Mary 2 signed by the Master, Commodore RW Warwick on the Maiden Voyage in January, 2004. and all signed by the Artists, also on of Two Queens Passing, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary passing at sea.
These are rather large frames. 30 to 36 inches wide. The frames alone each cost me up to £200 several years ago.
So a little difficult to get over to the States.
Cheers
Brian

#5 Believe me Brian, USA collectors would pay for all the packing, insurance and transit, all you would have to do is contact a removals or packing company. Have you thought about selling them to a maritime museum, just throwing ideas at you. There are specialist companies out there who do this every day.

Brian, just to double up on what Ivan has said, when my mother died, I had to clear the house, there were a couple of Beswick seagulls that hang on the wall, I know naff, anyway I stuck them on eBay, and they were bought by a buyer in Oz, he paid a lot of money for postage and insurance, plus paid much more for the Beswicks than I thought they were worth. Give it a go, could be an extra cruise this year !!!, kt
