Re: Today
Hi Mo.
I don't think Australia has enough men to man all theirs. Just signed a military agreement with Papua New Guinea, Our PM then said , they can then join our Army?

Re: Today
OMG, manned by polis, just like they man the parliament.
Two weeks of sittings then off again.
So the war ships would do a couple of runs around the coast then go into dry dock for months, meanwhile our Chinese mates are sailing into Sydney harbor all flags fflying.
The foreign minister says you cannot do that, China says terll that to the Yanks.
But in a more serious manner, 'beneath the waves', great movie that, who knows what is going on, how many Russian, Chinese or any other nation are looking in at us?

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Today
Probably even this merchant navy net and all other social internet is being perused by various countries governments to keep their finger on the pulse of the world’s thinking. The internet is very fallible and holds no secrets for some trained to do just that. JS

Re: Today
My nephew is a pooter expert, travels the world sorting pooters out. He reckons, as soon as you put your name to anything on line for the first time, everyone knows everything about you. Even worse if you have a smart phone (which I don't) as well. They know where you go, spend, everything bank wise, what you say on line. There's no hiding place.
Unless you have loadsamoney of course.

Re: Today
Maybe old generals have a bit of expierence about the horrors of war. They were likely young generals when wars were a regular USA & UK pass time.
What military did Trump ever serve in? oh of course he was a draft dodger, not once but 5 times.
Donald Trump grew up in an era when young men all over the USA were being drafted to go to war with no choice in the matter.
The USA was directly involved in military action during the Vietnam war from 1955 - 1973 with the former President graduating from he University of Pennsylvania in 1968, one of the worst years for the conflict. At 22 years old Trump was a 6ft2 athlete who had already avoided being drafted four times, deferring so that he could complete his college education.
However, with his graduation fast approaching in the spring of 1968 Trump received a diagnosis that saw him obtain a fifth draft deferment. Trump had been diagnosed with bone spurs - a complication which rendered him unfit for military service.
So Generals are to old but at 78 he is not to old, man is not right in the head. From President to world dictator in just over a month.
