    Default Today

Early news items sound scary ,but is it the usual misinformation or misinformation of the true facts.
Today most people reading the early news will be greeted by the news that civil airlines had to be re-routed because the Chinese navy was conducting live fire power for exercises in Australian Waters. True or a blown up story remains to be seen . During my time on the Australian coast all vessels within Australian waters had to report in to Canberra on a four hour reporting system.
    1. Does this apply to the Chinese navy ? 2. Were the vessels within the legal limits of Australian jurisdiction ? I wait with trepidation for the media to give to the general public the whole true story of Australian maritime law within Australian waters. So that they can decide if any laws are being broken . John.
Eden as you know is just down the road from where we live, and the Chinese naval ships are 600 nautical miles into the Tasman from there so well into international waters, a bit like the Australian and American Navy's being in the South China seas having maneuvers, the only warning given out by our Govt was to civil aircraft to keep a certain distance away
So far haven't had any shells flying overhead LoL.

    Ps
Read where one of the Warmonger Reporters asked why they are down here? and not in their own territory, a bit like ours going to the Red Sea and the South China seas I suppose, but he wouldn't have a clue.

#2 used to know the harbour master in Eden Des, A past master I believe out of the Lady boats I beleive.I was a good Patron of the Fisherman’s club whilst there fitting out the Mermaid Raider for a bottom survey Just off Bondi beach starting point Auckland finishing point , it was for laying a cable on the sea bed. Cheers JS
If in International waters then Des they are not at fault as believe they have done the necessary general order of the day to broadcast the correct messaging to all ships . Hope none of our politicians don’t jump the gun and get egg on their face as they are quite likely to follow up on the press release to show how inefficient they are most of the time. Cheers JS

All done legally in international waters, but that is not good news for the media, they need to shock and horror.
Foreign minister to speak with Chinese counterpart, not sure what about as he will not be concerned.
As far as China is concerned it was all legal.

But we can get a look at what will be attacking us should the occasion arise.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

A continuation of the most probable alarm bells rang by the media. What on earth do the people of this world think the armed forces do . It is part of their daily lives to handle and use explosives, every country in the world has what for the ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand, carry out what is called training and manoeuvres. A navy which doesn’t do so is just a waste of time and space. A burden on the tax payer and a waste of time. It appears to me as this is the second day of the media’s out going efforts to extend a storm in a teacup to a cyclone category 4 is still newsworthy to them . Give us a break and crawl back where you came from. Apart from raising feelings of distrust which at the moment is a friendly power , you are reminding people of the parable of the boy who cried Wolf too many times. JS.

    Hi John
I see Trump has sacked the top four generals at the Pentagon, and replaced them with younger men, who are probably more up to date.
I think that is what is wrong with NATO, still living on past glories, that is if they ever had any. Unfortunately we still have OLD politicians trying to send young men to fight their battles.

When you look at the bulk of the old generals Russia has Des, and who Putin is probably bound to listen to as their protocol is different to ours , his hands are probably more tied than people realize. Putin is only one man among many with different points of view. The old USSR had a lot of control over other neighbouring countries and although they today call themselves independant there are still many living there who back Russia. Communism was painted as a pariah by the USA after the war and declared illegal. If I remember correctly it was a legal party in the uk but didn’t last too long and don’t think it was ever declared illegal. Looking at China it brought better standards of living to the peasants than the war lords ever did. That Chang Kai Shek was only an old war lord who took on the party of nationalist China. My early times in Taiwan he was in my eyes a dictator and was one continuous curfew every night. JS.
