Shell m.t. NINELLA.1943-1966......
Good Morning from England Maurie and Welcome !
The excellent Kees Helder site HERE lists the motor tanker NINELLA (Official No.168426. Gross Tonnage 8,134.) She was completed in May 1943 for the Anglo Saxon Petroleum Co.(which became Shell Petroleum Co.in 1955) and served the remaining war years in the Shell Co. tanker fleet right up until scrapping in 1966.
I know it doesn’t help much but there is one crew member called ARTHUR VICTOR MANT(Pumpman) listed in the people who have served in her in 1943,which would have been added by the gentleman himself.or by his relatives.
Have a look at the site and see if you can possibly make an announcement on there regarding your specific enquiry.
Best Regards
Gulliver
