Re: Climate Change
I have been following this thread with interest, now i just do not know what is causing the claimed global warming, but the only observation i made was when the kids all came out on strike recently for the cause. Now i was delayed in the throng, all chanting that action must be taken urgently, and almost every single one of them was swigging from a drinks can, or a bottle of water, so i believe a day off school heightened their sense of global warming, kt

Keith, if you do a little research you may find information about who is actually bankrolling this kid from Sweden, and organising all the back up, publicity, arranging endorsements from high level personalities etc.
She may not be aware of the hidden agenda of these people.

Re: Climate Change
But what is wrong with adding waste heat recovery to crematoria? Before one 'goes' one has the satisfaction of knowing one will be contributing a KWH or two. If crematoria were rationed to increase the throughput it should be possible to make them self sustaining by way of fuel too (The chain-grate format would allow some measure of identification to be maintained although I think thermal requirements suggest popping them in at the top same-same blast furnace). There would still be atmospheric pollution to contend with but a rotting body contributes to that as well.
(I am not sure if the 'auditorium' of our crem is not kept as hot as it is so that fellow wrinklies do not catch their deaths until they exit into the cooler graveyard surrounding it or if it is the result of some preheating process 'next door' to improve combustion).

Re: Climate Change
There is no way I am being cremated or incinerated.
I want my little six foot plot of land and a BIG stone over it, so people will know I have been here,

Re: Climate Change
Today in the Artic circle a large iceburg calved.
It is a natural part of them to do so and a scientist stated that this is quite normal and nothing to do with any form of climate change or global warming.
But of course the 'Greens' know better and have put out a statement saying this is only the beginning of the 'great big melt' as they call it.
Today here in Melbourne we had the coldest October morning since 1984, combined with the coldest September day for 40 years the other week and the biggest one day dump of snow in the mountains ever recorded.
Yes something is occurring and all I know is that it is bloody cold.

Happy daze John in Oz.
