The problem is it should not be cold in Bolton now, it should be cold(er) in Greenland etc.... You wearing your winter woolies in September is a sign that something is happening that is not normal with weather patterns. Check out the loss of glacial ice in Greenland caused by their abnormal heat in their summer and warmer arctic winters.

    Regards, Rodney.

Rodders, there was a report in our papers here about the gulf stream and the effect on weather patterns in the northern hemisphere.

The El Nino we are currently experiencing is warming the stream, this has an effect on weather in the north, hence some of the ice depletion.

Scientists tell us that when La Nina comes, the floods after the drought, the gulf stream will go back to normal.

I dont know what the overnight temperature was but this morning at 07.30 it was 3*c and the roads had been gritted overnight, but that is not unusual, we are into October now.
At least I can leave my beer outside and adjust the thermostat on my beer fridge (in garden shed) so its not working overtime, like in the summer.

    Hi Rodney,
Every year we have the Hurricane Season, September to December, It starts in West Africa, crosses to West Indies and up the coasts of US , and Canada past Greenland, Iceland and the UK. with Warm air.
We have just had the tail end of Hurricane Lorenzo, bringing cold wet windy weather, so there is now today a strong Cold wind from the Arctic, This happens every year So the weather is the same EVERY Year, and always has done.
It has shown on TV in Mid Summer, Ice melting in the Arctic, THERE IS 24 HOURS A DAY SUNSHINE,, what do they expect??
They do not film in the middle of January during 24 hours of Darkness and Real Sub Zero temps.
    Cheers
    Brian

Captain. I repeat there are photos and maps that show the dramatic results of LAND ICE loss. There are examples on the link I submitted on this thread. If you have an open mind pictorial evidence is easy to find on-line. If its a hoax or b.s. there should be many photo evidence of non-loss on Greenland, Arctic Canada, Alaska, Russia and Scandinavia, the whole Arctic Circle. Please post links for me to see pictorial evidence and maps by scientific reputable organizations. You show me the evidence and I rethink my position.

    Regards, Rodney

P.s. That excessive summer sunshine is part of the problem, the arctic summers are warmer and drier, the winters not cold enough.

Rodney,in1807 it was possible to sal from Europe to Japan using North West Passage,no climate change.
The Arctic ice varies between 1.31 and 1.98 million square miles, the current measurement as of the 18th September shows the CE cverageat1 1.6msq. miles. Slap bang in the middle of the average.
These figures relate to the summer measurements, as winter sets in, the ice grows.

This Just Keeps Happening!… Ship Full of Global Warming Fanatics Gets Stuck in Arctic Ice

    This just keeps happening…

In May 2009 two global warming activists were hoping to reach Greenland’s polar ice cap in a solar and wind powered yacht.

    (Carbon Neutral Expediions)
Unfortunately, they ran into cold and stormy weather and had to be rescued by an oil tanker.

    In December 2013
a Russian expedition ship carrying global warming scientists got stuck in ice. And a Chinese ice breaker sent to rescue the scientists got stuck in the ice just miles away.

    Now this…
    3 September 2019
The arctic tour ship MS Malmo had to be rescued this week after getting stuck in the ice off of Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, halfway between Norway and North Pole.

    MS Malmo
Via Not a Lot of People Know That:

Arctic tours ship MS MALMO with 16 passengers on board got stuck in ice on Sep 3 off Longyearbyen, Svalbard Archipelago, halfway between Norway and North Pole. The ship is on Arctic tour with Climate Change documentary film team, and tourists, concerned with Climate Change and melting Arctic ice. All 16 Climate Change warriors were evacuated by helicopter in challenging conditions, all are safe. 7 crew remains on board, waiting for Coast Guard ship assistance.

They were not concerned that a gas guzzling Helicopter had to rescue them.

The scale of the berg means it will have to be monitored and tracked because it could in future pose a hazard to shipping.

Speaking with my sister in UK yesterday she informs me the public have been told to expect a colder and harsher winter than for the past few years.
The Artic sea is beginning to freeze earlier than usual this year is the reason for the prediction.

This contradicts what scientists said only a few weeks ago concerning the Gulf Stream being hotter than usual due to the El Nino in the southern ocean.

It is little wonder that with such diverse view on what is regarded as Climate Change, the public tend to be very skeptical about the subject.

I viewed in Norway two photos of an ice shelf taken 100 years apart.
One covered in Ice the other none to be seen.

The covered one taken on January 1 1910 second on August 1 2010.
One slight problem with this. By August each year the snow has melted, snowing again begins some time in October.

Until ALL scientists and scientific bodies begin to sing from the same song sheet doubt will remain.
