    Default ANZAC DAY Australia

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of the Australian and New Zealand forces.

    Lest we forget.

White Feather written for the album Remembrance, a tribute to the ANZACs to pay tribute to those who fought for our freedom. The song tells the story of an Australian soldier during World War I, a man who embodies the strength, fear, and heartache that so many of our soldiers experienced. It’s my way of capturing a piece of our history, and the emotions that go along with it, in the hope that we can continue to remember and appreciate their sacrifices.

    Lest we forget

We remember the 1 in 8 Merchant Seafarers who died in world wars and all those who served our country.

There was the Anzac day march here in Melbourne today.
    All services represented bar one.
Some years ago so saddened by the fact there was no MN represented in the march I wrote to the minister for defense.
He replied telling me they would always be there in the march.
For some years they were, then this year none!!!!

Sad point to a great day of remembrance and reflection.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

When WW2 was declared my father was in South America so they sailed to Africa and joined a convoy home luckily there was no interaction with German forces. As usual practice they went ashore out of uniform in South Wales but the local "ladies" presented them with "white feathers" as a sign of cowardice unlike others in uniform during the phony war safe in their barracks.

    HI Ken.
Believe it or not My brother and his mate got white feathers in Liverpool after paying off a ship after a trip across the Atlantic in convoy. Two dum bitches with no brain's to ask the question.
