Re: Bird Brain
#5 Keith, We have lots of Magpies that visit our garden. Never in any other of our homes. My husband is very
superstitious so much so I find myself repeating these ditties when I count them........1, for sorrow. 2, For joy. 3,For
a girl. 4,Four for a boy. 5, For silver, 6, Six for gold, 7, For a secret, never to be told! Or 1, One's a wish. 2,Two's a kiss. 3, Three'a a disappointment.....all I can remember.

Three's a crowd i always thought! We have a family of Magpies that along with a pair of Australian Ravens rule the garden. The Magpies have a chick each year and we feed them along with the Ravens along with a dozen or so other species of feathered birds.

Re: Bird Brain
Apparently it is bad luck to stare a Magpie straight in the eye. Have no idea where that superstition comes from but her indoors hates the dam things.
