re: Mersey Memories
Terry, You made me laugh
Lena Zavaroni was a child star from the Isle of Bute in the 70's. She had a tremendous voice but unfortunately died in her thirties. She won "Opportunity Knocks" aged 10 with her rendition of "Ma he's making eyes at me" The clips are on the site you posted if interested

Charlie, Do you remember old peter MCKrieth he lived on Rawson Road all his life Seaforth. He loved his pint and a bet. I attended his funeral about 2yrs ago his eldest lad Peter was in the army 22 yrs he done about 4 tours Northern island he joined the army as the same time I went away to sea then went to Germany. Old Peter was well known by my old man And Eddie Dean. we both lived in Rawson road at the time. When his lad had that song in the hit parade he was called into the DSS And asked how much money he had made out of his sons success. His reply I haven't seen him for 12 months W.T.F. I can remember a lot of banter he got over that one Regards Charlie Terry.
