The Lone Ranger And Tonto
For those followers of the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Re. Tonto...Jay Silverheels made Hollywood history when he rode the range as Tonto, a Potawatomi Indian- all because he really was an Indian and not a white man with brown greasepaint on his face and a braided wig on his head.
Americas most famous American TV Star was actually a Canadian, born Harold Jerome Smith on the Ontario Six Nation Reservation, a Mohawk of the great Iroquois Confederacy in 1919, the son of a decorated war veteran . Harry was a champion wrestler and Golden Gloves Boxer- but it was Lacrosse that got him started. He could run that fast across the lacrosse field that he picked up the name Silverheels. He took the J from his middle name and became Jay Silverheels, but didn’t make it legal until 1971.
Kemo Sabe means trusty friend or trusty scout.

Re: The Lone Ranger And Tonto
In Spanish and in Portuguese, "tonto" translates as "a dumb person", "moron" or "fool". In the Spanish dubbed version, the character is called "Toro" (Spanish for "bull") or "Ponto". In the Italian version the original name is retained, despite the fact that its meaning in Italian is the same as in Spanish. But in Japan and in Japanese Tonto means "short blade".
Why was the Lone Ranger 'lone' if he always had Tonto with him ?

Re: The Lone Ranger And Tonto
Because the maestrosi in Hollywood were like Blackbeard’s crew who couldn’t spell proper and should have been loan Ranger, he was always borrowing money from Tonto and never paying back. JWS.

Re: The Lone Ranger And Tonto
The lone arranger would not have worked as you say.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto were at the bar drinking, when in walks a cowboy who yells, "Who's white horse it that outside?"
The Lone Ranger finishes off his whiskey, slams down the glass, turns around and says, "It's my horse. Why do you want to know?"
The cowboy looks at him and says, "Well, your horse is standing out there in the sun and he don't look too good."
The Lone Ranger and Tonto run outside and they see that Silver is in bad shape, suffering from heat exhaustion. The Loan Ranger moves his horse into the shade and gets a bucket of water. He then pours some of the water over the horse and gives the rest to Silver to drink. It is then he notices that there isn't a breeze so he asks Tonto if he would start running around Silver to get some air flowing and perhaps cool him down.
Being a faithful friend, Tonto starts running around Silver. The Lone Ranger stands there for a bit then realizes there is not much more he can do, so he goes back into the bar and orders another whiskey.
After a bit a cowboy walks in and says, "Who's white horse is that outside?"
Slowly the Lone Ranger turns around and says, "That is my horse, what is wrong with him now?"
"Nothing," replies the cowboy, "I just wanted to let you know that you left your Injun running."

Tonto and the Lone Ranger were riding across the prairie. Then Tonto got down from his horse and put his ear to the ground. He looked at the Lone Ranger and said, "Buffalo come."
The Lone Ranger looked at him and said, "Wow, that's amazing! How did you figure that out?"
Tonto looked at the Lone Ranger and said, "Ear sticky!"

Re: The Lone Ranger And Tonto
He was the original sock puppet, always hid his identity but everyone knew who he was. Tried to emulate the British version , The Scarlet Pimpernel. In his case though he chose that design of. Face mask to hide the fact he wore bottle top glasses. JWS. Ps and pronto means means quick, the same as jildy jildy in Hindi. jJS
