    Default A day to forget

On Monday we went up the RSL fotr dinner, stayed until just dark then drove home, on the way there was a rattling in the dash, so I hit it with my fist, silly me. Got home and couldn't think why something was making a blinking noise, then realized that I had hit the Hazard button and had driven home like a police car LoL.
I put the car in the Garage then took out the key and went to shut the door there was a beeping which I thought was the door being open, no such luck, next morning I had an appointment with the Dr went to get the car out of the garage to be ready, flat battery, i had left the sidelights on , hence the beeping, called the NRMA who said I would need a new battery $250 got him to put that in , but got my daughter to run me up to the DR just in case.

Don't you just love days like that when Murphy is in fine form. Reminds me of our family motto? No good being fecking stupid, unless one shows it. How about this one for stupidity. A few years ago when doing up the engine for the Torana. Put it all together and when it was started it leaked oil. Took the engine out and replaced the rear main seal. Back together and the same bloody problem. Back out with the engine. Cut to the chase here. It seems that this fecking idiot had not put the gully plug in when intially building it. Glad to say that both the son and I are having fun with it before those woke barstewards get their way.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

some years ago put a small car we used as a shopping basket in for a basic service.
Driving home the car behind me was flashing his lights like there was no tomorrow.
Pulled over to see the problem, look down said the other driver.
There was a trail of oil behind us!!
Called the garage where it had been for service and they sent a truck to take us back.
Did an oil change but forgot to put the plug washer back on.
    Thankfully no damage done.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
