Has Trump just taken the world for a ride?
A few days ago he introduced tarrif on the majority of the countries jn th World. The result stock exchanges crashed, share prices dropped like a stone.
Today he has announced 90 day pause on the implementation of the tariffs on those countries who didn't retaliate.
Result share prices have rocketed, anyone who bought low has made fortune, was the whole thing an elaborate scam?

We have two very good friends here in Melbourne, both Chinese.
Also one of the guys in our Men's Shed is married to a Chinese lady, they are currently in China.

They all say the same thing, USA is concerned about the growth of China, estimated it will be a bigger economy within 10 years.

This would shunt USA down the line and Donald is not happy about that.
He wants companies to come back to USDA, but most say no, it would take too long to set up and wages are lower overseas.

Here in Oz China are here in a big way, they currently own the port of Darwin on a 99 year lease. Bot sides of politics say after the erection they will take it back.

They own so much more though, largest cattle station in NT is now owned by them.
Two largest fruit growing regions in Victoria they now own. Current generations not interested in farming.
They own about 50% of Cambodia.
Much of the tariffs are a bluff to get the economic world of many nations to the negotiating table, but many such as UK say no, we will wait.

China is a very patient nation, they will continue to undermine any country they can to achieve their goal.

I don't think Trump is clever enough to think anything like that up himself. His Billionaire friends have put the squeeze on him and pointed out the US Stock exchange cannot sustau=in the loses over the last few days hence the 90 day delay. As usual his bull in a China shop approach has caused chaos around the world.
I would not be at all surprised if China give him an Ultimatum remove the tariffs or we will attack Taiwan. Trump has isolated the western world and not to many will want to get involved in a war with China and the USA do not even think the UK would back him in that one Europe certainly will not.

Well I certainly like watching the news and programs with Trump in them, all the other presidents were so boring on the telly and in the papers, as are our own bolloticians. It was the same when Boris was PM, always doing and saying things that made you listen. It's called "entertainment" it's what the telly is for.
We're gonna get screwed whoever is in power, it's their job, so we might as well get screwed knowing about it and hanging on every word.
