Brilliant forum
I'd just like to say what a great forum this is. I only found it this week and I must have spent at least 3 hours already going through some of the many stories.
I wasn't in the merchant navy myself, but I have been to sea on private yachts, completely different I know.
You guys really did live a fantastic life as seamen, and I've really enjoyed reading about it. I'll keep coming back here until I've read the lot, reading these forums is like reading a good book, its very hard to put it down.
Thanks to all of you.

Hi John.
Welcome to the site, I was at sea, but like you I still marvel at all the stories I read on this site, so many varying views of ports , storms, people etc. As you say it's like reading a book, one you can't put down, and the best of it is the stories still keep coming, great.
Cheers Des
