Started out on the Harwich B/R Ferry as a C/boy 5/8/1968 - 8/9/1969
Changed over to D/boy on Port Line 16/9/1969 Port Launceston only H/T
Port Victor 14/10/1969 H/T D/Boy
Port Napier 31/10/1969 H/T D/boy
Port Napier 24/11/1969 - 14/2/1970 F/G Cape Town Aus then to Taiwain as she was scrapped but my first trip deep sea and my best trip
Port Melbourne 7/3/1970 - 15/6/1970 F/G D/boy
Port Melbourne 30/6/1970 - 23/12/1970 F/G JOS
Port Alfred 23/1/1971 - 23/6/1971 F/G SOS
Skyway 28/7/1971 - 23/12/1971 H/T EDH

Welcome aboard Ivan I too spent a time with Port Line a fair while before your time about 3 years in total. I remember the Alfred fondly ( 1960 ) Paddy Powers was chief steward, also Vindex,New Plymouth, Townsville, and finaly Nelson paid off Hull 23/11/62 and migrated to Oz.How's the weather in Essex.All the best Mort.

Weather not so good in Essex at the moment getting cold winter is coming
Was down in NZ as I still have the passion for the sea
Was on a 50ft yacht Del as Mate from Croatia to NZ but changed after the Panama Canel by the owner to Fiji
March 2009 till July 2009
Last time I was in Oz was back in 2005 had 5 great weeks
As I sailed down to NZ from the Carribean via panama after selling my 45ft yacht to Tony a NZ guy had great 5 months trip help sail it Auckland Nov 2004
Stayed in NZ till Jan 2005 tour around in a campervan see bother Islands
I bet the sun is shine in Oz
