I have been overwhelmed by the number of requests for new passwords
It is going to take a while as each one has to be dealt with and replied to individually but I am working on them and will get back to you as soon as I am able.
Brian.
Thank you for your patience, I am getting there.

New registration
Hi one and all,
Although I registered some time ago I have only just managed to sort out/change my password, probably something to do with being the wrong side of 80, although I'm reliably informed that 80 is the new 60! My knees tell a different story. Unfortunately I can't be described as being computer literate and fear it may be some time before I'm sufficiently confident to make a contribution. Working my way through the various sections of this site looks a bit daunting. Excepting for 6 moths as a Trainee in a drawing office in Hainult, Essex, my working life has involved the sea, ships, and ship's cargoes. I joined TS 'Vindicatrix' April 1960 (R723364) subsequently joining 'Durban Castle' as a deckboy the following June. I remained a deckhand (to AB) until December 1967 when, after 4 attempts passed 2nd Mate's, joining Ellerman & Papayanni Line as 3rd Mate in January 1968. I stayed with Ellerman & Papayanni (which was absorbed into Ellerman City Liners) leaving as Chief Officer with a Master's cert. in 1979. I then joined a London company of Marine and Cargo surveyors and consultants, remaining a surveyor/consultant until I retired in 2009. I now look forward to reading many reviews, opinions, others experience etc and hopefully will make my own contribution. Robert (Bob) Young

Re: New registration
Congratulations Bob, a great career, deck boy to Master, through the hawse pipe and onto surveyor. Our hats off to you. As for being tech savvy I think most of us silver surfers on here use the computer as a glorified typewriter.
Look forward to hearing some of your stories
Welcome aboard
