    Hi Ron,and welcome.
I remember the Helmsley1 working both sides of the Mersey in the 50s/60s. I knew an AB on Her during Her last few years.Joe Kenny was his name. My memories are a bit hazy, but I think She was sold and heading South to Falmouth? when She run aground and was abandonded off the North Cornwall coast, near Pladstow(no loss of life)
Two other ships on your list I sailed on. San Wilfrido---April 1959.It was her last trip, she went for scrap to Japan. My neighbour Kenny Catterall was Bosun of her at the time.
    Chicanoa. first time---Jan,1959. 2nd time March 1964.
    ttfn. Peter.
